Elements of Sourdough (Day Course)
1 day sourdough course for beginners and experienced Bakers
This one day course will introduce the key elements to successful sourdough baking. Through baking three different types of bread the student will gain practical experience as well as understanding of the ingredients, leavens, hydration, mixing, kneading, shaping and baking and how they are all influenced by time, temperature, nature...and you.
We will use three different sourdough leavens and a range of flours and hydrations so that each student can feel as well as see how these ingredients, as well as the different levels of hydration in both the dough and the leavens, influence the process of sourdough bread making.
